Rev. Dr. Jacob Cherian, Professor of Pastoral Care and Counselling, received his B.A. from Kerala University; B.D. and  M.Th. from Serampore University and Ph.D. from Mahatma Gandhi University.  As an ordained minister of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, he has served as the faculty of Pastoral Care and Counselling at the Mar Thoma Theological Seminary and is currently, serving as the director of TMA Institute of Counselling.
