Fr. Dr. Reji Mathew, New Testament Professor, the Dean of Studies at the Orthodox Theological Seminary, received his M.A. in English Literature from Kerala University, B.Ed in English language and literature from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, B.D. and M.Th from Serampore University, and D.Th. from Friedrich-Alexander University, Erlangen, Germany. His Doctoral Dissertation is “Genealogie Jesu Matt 1,1-17 im Rahmen der Christologie des Matthaeus evangeliums (Genealogy of Jesus in Matt 1:1-17 in the Context of the Christology of the Gospel According to St. Matthew).” As an ordained minister of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, he has served as the Principal of St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Nagpur (1999-2010), as the Registrar of the FFRRC and is currently the member of the Senate of Serampore College. His teaching and research interests are in New Testament Christology, Early Judaism and Inter-Testamental Literature. He is a well-known theologian and has published many academic works.
