Profile

Fr. Dr. Jose John, Professor of History of Christianity, currently the Dean of D.Th studies at the FFRRC, received his B.A. from Kerala University, B.D. and M.Th. from Serampore University and earned his doctoral degree from the Pontifical Institutum Orientale, Rome. His Doctoral Dissertation is “Quest for the Re-establishment of the suppressed Religious Identity and Ecclesiastical Sovereignty of the Thomas Christians.” As an ordained minister of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, he has served the Church in various capacities and is presently the member of Research Committee of the Senate of Serampore. His area of interest is History of Christianity.
