Profile

Fr. Dr. T. I. Varghese, Professor of History of Christianity, received his B.D., M.Th, and D.Th from Serampore University. His Doctoral Dissertation is “The Relationship of the Malankara Church with CMS and the West Syrian Patriarchate and Effects.” As an ordained minister of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, he has served the church in various capacities. He is a well-known historian of Early Malankara Church and of the Indian church in general, and has a teaching experience of more than 30 years.
